Hello! My Name Is... Alicia. lol I'm 24 almost 25 and I live in Duluth, MN. I love music, writing and photography. I'm starting my LJ for the sake of sharing some of my poetry and lyrics as well as some of my photography.
Music-wise, My favorite band is Hanson. If you have heard nothing past MMMBop I don't want to hear a " they suck" or "they're girls" and all that other bullcrap people try to say about them. They are extremely talented musicians, yes, they are still in the game... they never left. They have grown up, got married, have kids and are still recording and preforming. Go listen to "The Walk" or " Underneath" both of those albums were recorded underneath their own record label 3CG. They hold onto some of the pop of the past but have ventured music farther into classic rock n' roll with a bit of a twist. It's a great sound and if you havent checked it out you should. Not to mention they are amazing live.
Other than Hanson, Nickelback is my second favorite. Like Hanson, I don't think they've written a song yet that I don't like. They are amazing as well, and I can't wait to have the oppertunity to see them live. Hopefully Minneapolis - April 09-.
Other than that I love Family Guy... Stewie is hilarious. I also love going to see the Minneapolis band Hairball any time they are in Duluth. The are an tribute to 80's hairbands and they're shows are outrageous! Check them out on myspace music.
Well that's if for now!
Ciao!
